County U14 Triangular League match vs Hertfordshire and Middlesex at Castle Royal G&CC on 31/08/17

The home match in 2017 was played at Castle Royle G&CC and the club presented a fine course and hosted the match very well.

The team did well in the morning, winning all four matches against a young Middlesex team, and narrowly losing to Hertfordshire 2.5 to 1.5.

Once again the singles saw a very strong performance by Hertfordshire, who won the singles 6 - 2 against BB&O for the second time this season.  Deservedly Hertfordshire won the league with a 100% record and the trophy was presented after the match.

In the match against Middlesex, BB&O won comfortably 9-3.

Congratulations to Harry Thomas for returning a maximum four points on the day.  All the BB&O boys contributed, and Tom Stephenson-Green showed great resilience to secure a half in his match against Hertfordshire.

Thank you also to travelling reserves Harry Gale and James MacFarlane who hosted Ross Lea from Hertfordshire for a 27-hole friendly match played in great spirit.
