Seniors County Qualifying
The Seniors put up a great defence of their England Golf South East title with an excellent second round performance. To say this course was tough, would be an understatement. If you missed the fairway, it was best you never found the ball as the rough was so deep. Trailing by plenty to Surrey after day 1, we never really expected to catch them and set out on the second round to just do our best. A remarkable round of 72 from David Niven gave us hope and as the Surrey players came in they were unable to post anything better than 80. We started to catch up and as the last games came down the stretch - we had a chance. Adrian Donkersley's 79 clinched it for us and we finished 5 clear in the end. We now go on to Chipping Sodbury in October to defend the England Title won last year at Robin Hood.
