The President of the English Golf Union was pleased to present Commemorative Centenary Plates to the Captains of Reading (David Olive) and Denham (David Batts) on reaching this milestone.

Nearly 300 people attended the Annual Dinner on 1st March at the Blue Mountain Golf Centre. The President of the EGU, Elwyn Ellis proposed the toast to the BB&O Golf Union to which our President, Iain MacCaskill, responded and also proposed the toast to the Guests. Colin Brown, Captain of the R&A replied on their behalf and Jimmy Quinn closed the evening with an excellent selection of stories and humorous one liners.

I am pleased to report that Cheshire, Devon, Durham and Hampshire have now joined the scheme and we expect a couple more of the Northern Counties to join soon. Over 1,000 courses to play.
