On a cold but pleasant day the county side faced tough opposition away to Stoke Park. As usual the couse was presented in immaculate condition and playing off the very back tees was a real challenge even for the longest of hitters. A morning foursomes session saw the county side grind out a small lead 2 1/2 to 1 1/2 to set up an exciting afternoons singles session. With long standing county players Lawson, Freeman and Lynch leading out the home side there was little doubt that this was going to be a battle royale and with two of those games going in Stoke's favour things had levelled at 3 1/2 to 3 1/2. A Barwick and Walton clash was always going to be a tight one and finished in an almost pedictable half. Down the batting order comfortable wins for Foster, Scutton and Reid secured the county side's victory even though a tight last game went to the home side. Well done to both Carl Corbin and Malcolm Reid who both secured 2 points on the day. Many thanks to Stoke Park who were great hosts.
