A win in our first League match at Orsett on 10th June was a good start to the season. This is a good golf course which is used for Open Championship Qualifying. There was penal rough just off the fairways, resulting in a few lost County golf balls - some with the Essex logo and a few of ours too. Nonetheless we just got the better of the Essex team and a 6-4 win away from home was a close run thing as 5 games went to the 18th. We next meet Bedfordshire at The Berkshire on 29th July.
