Friendly Triangular U12 / U13 match vs Surrey & Hertfordshire at Chobham GC
The boys enjoyed some very competitive golf against two of the strongest counties at this age group. The match was played at Chobham GC in Surrey after several years at Sunningdale Heath. The club hosted us very well.
The matches were played in great spirit in very hot conditions. In the U13 age group Surrey won both their matches, Surrey beating BB&O 4 to 2. BB&O drew with Hertfordshire in this age group. In the U12 age group Surrey again won both their matches and BB&O ran out 4.5-1.5 winners against Hertfordshire.
We saw very exciting finishes in two of the U12 matches. Simon Mead chipped in on the final hole to win both his matches, and Alfie Westbrook sank the final putt of the day to halve a great match against Hertfordshire.
In the overall triangular format the scores were: Surrey 33, BB&O 23, Hertfordshire 16.
Congratulations to several boys making their debut for the County.
