Friendly U12 / U13 match at The Berkshire (Red Course)
Unfortunately this eagerly-awaited fixture, held at the end of the summer holidays, was this year spoiled by torrential rain and a very cold wind. We took the decision to change the format and play a reduced foursome match over nine holes (1-4, 14-18).
Despite the weather, there was some very good golf on display. With the match evenly poised, James Lewis and Sander Andreassen prevailed in the last match for the U12s to win 4-3 ("holes up" format).
Congratulations to the boys playing in a County match for the first time.
Our thanks go to The Berkshire GC for hosting the match and its flexibility in changing the format in view of the weather. The boys enjoyed a nice meal after the match.
