U18's V Essex and Middlesex
BB&O U18's secured two vital wins, against Essex ( 5-3 ) and Middlesex ( 6.5-1.5 ), in the first of three triangular matches, on a sweltering day at Lambourne Golf Club.
Double wins for Gregor McKenzie, Zac Jenkins, Sebastian Tannum-Donaldson and Harrison Arnold ( including a w/o ) helped propel BB&O beyond the 4 points needed for victory in each match; though every BB&O boy contributed at least 1/2 point on the day.
Essex were held to a draw by Middlesex which which may prove crucial at the end of the series of matches. BB&O's next U18 League fixture will take place, against Essex and Hertfordshire, at Chigwell Golf Club on Sunday 13th August.
